It was supposed to open today along with the toll-booths. Can anyone verify if it is open?
I'm supposed to help a friend move house from outside Fermoy to Cork city which will take about 5 return trips. Is there anyway of avoiding the tolls?

goint through fermoy and sitting in traffic like you used to do.

    think it's 1.60 for private cars, and 80c for a motorbike :D

*grumble grumble* poxy toll road *grumble grumble*

Did they move the end of motorway to the Jack Lynch tunnel yet? The motorway ending about 500 yards after the toll booth is a joke.

*grumble grumble* stupid planners *grumble grumble*

Anyone ever noticed that Kilbehenny has 3 different spellings on things in village, even community hall vs signs in village, head there a lot to Red Cross national training centre there (which has its address spelt differently also)
Also heard that watergrasshill was cronic this morning with traffic

I heard that this morning (Tuesday), the first full day of the new by-pass, there were only two toll booths open and massive queues as a result. It could only happen in Ireland!

Welcome to Cork's own M50! Some inkling tells me there will never be more than 3 booths open. G'wan the traffic jam!
