Hi guys, im having a problem with getting subtitles to work.

    I am using MPC,vlc,winamp,wmp,real player

And none of them will load the .srt file.

In vlc i have the option to load a subtitle but when i click it i get a error saying to switch the renderer, which i have no idea how to do.

People have been telling me that it should work automaticially if its in the same folder, which it is. But it dosent load. The sub titles do work, as i sent them to a few friends to test

The last piece of advice i was given was to download the k-lite codec pack which i have. And it did jack sh*t

Anyone know why i cant get the subs working, as watching taxi 3 and banlieue 13 in french is confusing as hell

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried the BsPlayer in K-Lite Mega Codecs Pack? That usually plays them for me.

Did you use the option in VLC where it allows you to browse for the subtitles file? File->Open File->Use subtitles file and enter in the location.

If using MPC click view->options->playback->output and choose VMR7 or VMR9 (renderless) as the "Directshow" Video output.

That should enable viewing of subtitles, alternatively install DirectVobSub for playback in WMP or other directshow players.

Another tip is to name the .srt file to match the film.
    name_of_myfilm.avi and name_of_myfilm.srt
