I was sorry to hear that Nancy Blake died last week.

My favourite memory of her was not being allowed buy a pint for myself in the pub because she'd only serve half pint glasses to the women. This was in the early 90's!
She was one of Limericks living institutions, now may she rest in peace.

I assume you didn't know her, she was a lovely person who put up a brave fight with cancer. she will be missed, a true Limerick institution.

According to my mother, she made jam sandwiches for me as a kid in the early eighties when I wouldn't eat anything else. It's very sad to hear that she died.

She was laid to rest today. I'm sure there was a huge turn out.
