Applestore online delivery methods

Has anybody else had problems with Apple's delivery methods of online orders?

I'm really starting to get p****d off with the whole system now. First of all, the computer spent a week sitting in a Chinese airport (although, Apple IE didn't actually know where it was at the time  ). It finally arrived in the UK last week and was available for pick up by UPS on Friday morning. As of today UPS haven't picked it up - UPS are blaming Apple UK, Apple are blaming UPS, and I'm sitting here still waiting.

Now it's due on Wednesday (2 weeks after it first shipped) but I was supposed to move to my new place on Wed, guess that'll have to be put on hold.

Well that's my rant off my chest :) Has anyone had similar experiences with Apple or has it been all good for everyone?

my apple delivery went fine, but TNT delivered it. Two of my friends ordered customised macbooks about 2-3 weeks ago, one on the friday the other on the saturday, one ordered online, the other over the phone. The one who ordered online, their macbook arrived using TNT, no problems. My other friend's is being delivered by UPS and hasn't been delivered yet. The UPS tracking system seems to be pretty crap...as in my friend hasn't been able to track it. So I think it's a case of UPS sucking rather than apple.

I ordered my MacBook on Fri 22 Sept. It was ready for shipment on Tue 26th. I've just checked now, it's still in China. Which means it's been built and ready to go for nearly a week and it's still in the same f***ing country. It's disgraceful. i don't know who to blame, Apple for not building it in Cork or TNT for taking at least 6 days to get a laptop out of a country. I'm not a happy camper, it was due today and now I haven't a clue when it'll be delivered cos the tracking system is rarely updated

I forgot to mention how bad the tracking system was! At one stage it went from telling me to expect the computer on the 2nd Oct, and then all of a sudden it changed to the day before I was looking at it! (was showing 28/9, even though I was looking at it one 29/9)

This site seems to have a bit more info on the tracking side, just stick in the delivery reference and hit track!

My laptop spent a week in China too, not fun! As for the UPS tracking codes, they're only activated when UPS get the billing info, usually just before they get the packages - although mine have been sitting waiting to be picked up by them for ages, which is even worse than the computer sitting in China!

I've bought a few differnet thing of the apple store mainly ipod stuff and never had a problem.

    UPS delivered it.

Probably a different story with larger items built in China!

I just called TNT. They say the delay in my shipment is because this WEEK is a bank holday in China and it wont be loaded until at least Monday. How can a country have a bank holiday for a whole week??

Even so, TNT had the parcel on the 26th, that's still 6 days before the bank holiday, they had loads of time to get it out of the country.

Either way I have to wait another week for it to arrive :(
