Man charged with conspiring to import €10m heroin haul

    13:16 Monday October 2nd 2006

A 36-year-old former boxing champion has appeared in court charged in connection with last week's €10 heroin seizure at an airport in south Belgium.
John Kinsella, a married father-of-two from Cairn Wood, Johnstown, Navan, Co Meath, was arrested last Tuesday at Weston Aerodrome in Kildare.

The aviation broker was charged last night at Clondalkin garda station with conspiracy to import drugs.

Detective Peter Gilligan told Dublin District Court today that Gardai were objecting to bail on the grounds that Mr Kinsella had an intricate knowledge of the aviation industry with access to private jets and would be in a position to leave the country.

The court also heard that Mr Kinsella jointly owns a property in Thailand and has a number of bank accounts in Bangkok.

In the stand, the accused said he does represent a company which owns a plane, but added that this aircraft was undergoing heavy maintenance in France.

Judge Cormac Dunne is expected to deliver his decision the bail matter this afternoon

    still defamatory.

you can't call him names or impugne his good name until a court has convicted him. i would be very, very careful about posting information of this nature. you're not covered by fair comment or any of the other 'get out of defaming x' clauses.

by all accounts doesn't cover you.

however, if you want to get sued....continue...

now you're defaming me. which is not a good idea. i'm fairly easily identifiable if anyone cares to do a little checking. i also have very good solicitors. suggesting that i'm pro drug dealing is a very bad idea.

the judge hasn't defamed anyone. obviously you don't know the law. until someone is convicted of an offense, you can't pass comment on what 'by all accounts' people think of them. especially if your claim is defamatory.

if this individual is convicted, then, and only then can you or anyone else pass comment on what they are or aren't. there is a thing called due process in this country.

since I am not in this country "due process" does not apply.

I am very identifiable too and of business experince in ireland, and dealt with many leading solicitors and barristers when needed.

so you produce a few TV show etc and did a bit of radio....good for you. I run business too. big deal. its all the same. my legal gun is bigger than yours....so what.

I am not one bit "scared" of lawyers, solicitors, nor barristers nor legal treats, I have been through that a few times over business deals, and and this stage it would not loose me a wink of sleep today, tomorrow, nor in the future.

So you think up ways of sueing me, and I ll go to the beach tomorrow for a morning swim, [mod snip]

Millionaire banned until s/he learns the meaning of the words defamation and contempt and also shows understanding of the difference between being charged with a crime and convicted of it.

The ban will be lifted when said poster explains the error s/he has made to me via PM and makes an apology to yamo along with a withdrawl of his comments against him.

Potentially defamatory comments are not something to be taken lightly, neither is the potential to influence a court case.
This thread will be kept open however I will delete all offending comments made; anyone else who makes potentially defamatory comments or makes any comment on the court proceedings at all will be banned instantly.

    I've banned Ryaner77 too for 1 week.
