RTE reception on roof aerial

I have a roof aerial in Co Roscommon. It used to pick up 4 irish and 4 UK channels perfectly but lately the reception of the irish channels has got very poor. TV3 and TG4 are unwatchable.
The UK channels are still received perfectly.
Does anyone know what might have gone wrong with the aerial to make this happen?

Rotting coax cable. Replace it with CT100 or PF100 satellite cable. Odd that the UK are OK.

If there has been no deterioration in the UK channels the problem might be with the aerial you use for the Irish channels rather than the coax cable (which would presumably affect all channels more or less eqally)

Which transmitter do you get the Irish channels from Cairnhill (Longford) Truskmore (Sligo) or Maghera (Gort) ?

Irish channels come from Cairnhill in Longford. I have a Yagi (?) type aerial mounted on my chimney.
Would a Yagi aerial have 2 separate receivers for different frequencies (ie Irish channels on VHF and UK on UHF) and could one of these receivers have become displaced without the other one being affected?

TV3 and TG4 can only be received on the UHF band so that rules out that theory

All the Irish channels from Cairnhill are on UHF (channels 40/43/46/50)
The NI channels at your location would be lower down the band (Channels 21-32)
