Have you considered that there may be a reason for this?
    It's standard HEANET policy.

afaik, there are means to using p2p in the student villages but it's not for discussion on this forum.

There is no p2p usage allowed on the ITD network.

    Hi,

It's against HEAnet policy to allow the usage of Limewire etc. on the campus network. Hence the reason you can't use it. There are of course ways around it but as kaimera mentioned it's not for discussion on the UL forum.

    Cheers

Not on boards as far as I know it's a blanket rule of no discussion of Warez/P2P stuff unless the P2P stuff is actually legal.

    Cheers

OP you seriously didn't think UL were going to allow P2P prgrams to run (without difficulty anyway), did you? Ignoring the usual legal concerns they're also a drain on network resources (especially torrents).

Anyway limewire isn't a good P2P program. Most of the files available are either corrupt, fake or porn.
