Are you insured for bank transfer's on Ebay?

Just got a phone he was selling two but said the other guy was from Nigeria who bidded on it so he wants to send me the two phones he's from UK.

Would be grateful for any help.

Buyer protection only applies to payments sent by Paypal. What payment options were listed on the auction?

This sounds a bit dodgy to me.

You are not covered with any kind of protection if you do this. Plus a bank transfer from Ireland to a UK bank will cost you about €25 and take up to 10 days to get there.

You serious? 25 euro is a shocking price for that!

The golden rule is that, on ebay, if it seems like it might be a scam, it almost definitely is, and even when it doesn't seem like a scam, you still must be careful.

I thought sending and receiveing money online was free once you had over €500 in our account with 365?

Well the guy has 100% feedback he sold a good lot of phones so im gonna give it a shot.

He said now he can take paypal sent me his paypal address would I be better paying like that?

I have on more question you know the way you buy something and they say would you like two how do you get the two in your feedback if you know what I mean! Do I get him to offer that second chance thing?

    Thanks

If he has offered you the chance to pay via paypal then use that.

Ha ha. The words "bank transfer", "eBay" and "Nigeria" all in one sentence.

There's no protection for any method other than PayPal, and some would say you have sh*te-all protection with that either.
