The Dunnes Store "sale" is a load of mainly unbranded clearance product that manufacturers cannot shift. - OK if the item is only to last for a few weeks but don't expect any particulary good quality stuff.

I used to work for dunnes.

The Staff and Management help themselves to all the best bits days ahead when the stock arrives in the store. Theres always some items that never ever hit the floor because its all been grabbed.

And to be honest as someone mentioned above its all clearance stock. Normally 3-5 years old and out of date.

Stuff is ok for young kids, but dont expect any THankyous ffrom older kids who want the latest playstation and end up with some starwars toy 4 years out of date!

and anyone notice its used to be around 64% Sale. But as it was so popular they obviously wised up! They will more than likely have anotherone in November before Childrens allowance again.

Oh and Buy the way lots of stores do things for Childrens allowance, Adams Kids normally do a spend 30 euro get a free 5 euro voucher, or a 20% of day.

major complaints on radio this morning in cork about the prices not being reduced, but claiming to be reduced. People claimed the prices were the same as argos/smyths. (so no 50% saving).

just a heads up for anyone buying there. Didnt get a chance to go myself, so can anyone confirm?

Its bad form on behalf of dunnes if its true

    well put it this way

    Dunnes dont sell toys.

They order toys for special promotions, get them in, price them at the retail rrp and reduce this by 50%.

So im not sure but they maybe breaking the law as the Toys were never really sold at the old price as they never had those toys at the old price.
