Dell vs Packard Bell laptops

I don't have experience with Packard Bell, I do with the Dell 1300.

Generally speaking, Packard Bells are not all that highly regarded in terms of quality, Dells on the other hand are generally quite reliable.

Personally, I would not purchase from a shop, you get better bang for your buck online.

Yikes! The trackpad on that packard bell looks like a mini ice hockey rink, its hideous. Ive never liked packard bell styling, Dell's has improved...slightly. The 1300 seems like the better machine there.

I'd would have taken a Dell 1300 over a Packard Bell hands down, until I recently saw one of Packard Bells mid-range notebooks which looked very very nice...still bad build quality though and at the end of the day you want something that will give you your money's worth.I recon you should go for the Dell as I just have had and seen too many recurring problems with Packard Bells.

    I'd choose Dell myself.
