    Hey ppl,

Just a quick question to see if i can salvage my graphics card, irs a geforce 6600 gt and it has decided to stop working.

I came back earlier from a day out and my computer had froze, the screen was still on but not responding so i decided to restart, after that it woldnt turn back on, it wouldnt boot or anything, i got an error 25 on my motherboard.

i started taking components out 1 by 1 to see what was causing it, when i took gpu out it went away, I stuck an old car d in and the computer booted up.

Just wondering if there is anything i can do to save the card??

The fan spins when i boot the computer but it doesnt boot up and the error message occurs but nothing appears on the screen.

Dunno if anyone can help but thanks for reading :)

I had this problem before with my old gainward 6600gt... I RMA'ed/swapped it and got myself the MSI version.
Probably nothing you can do besides seeing if it does the same thing in a different PC... might be of use to someone else, but I'd say it's just fried.

    man thats crap,

You reckon its still under warranty even though i bought it 15 months ago?

Dunno, but I'd think it unlikely... I was "lucky" enough to have it happen within about a month of getting the card, so replacing it was no big deal.
6600's are cheap as chips nowdays anyway.
Actually, it might be a good excuse for you to upgrade ;)

There not that cheap where i've been looking, around €150! And my board is AGP so my next upgrade will probably be a whole new system.

Ah well, i might have a look on ebay for something,

    Cheers
