I'd love to get some feedback here. Trying to get informal shots of some of my cats for my portfolio & getting something different with my lot each time isn't easy.

Really like the first one. The second two lose a bit of impact because the cat is not looking directly at the camera, but speaking as someone who spent 2 hours and a full 2GB mem card trying to get the new dog to look at the damn camera I can sympathise :p

I agree - the 1st one is a great shot! The other 2 dont do much for me ....... but that is ok because the 1st one is just super!!!!

    Defo the 1st one.

The others would have been better if you were at the same level as the cat(s) irrespective if they were looking at you (the camera) or not.

I don't post on this board and probably don't know as much about photography as alot of the people about here, but i think there's something to be said for the second photo too.

I still think that the first one is clearly the best, but I really like the curling and overlapping lines of the second cat's whiskers. Also, theres a certain sense of tension and action due to the cats expression, it looks as if it's just spotted something and is about to leap off after it.

Anyway, just my ideas, and nice photos on the whole

I really like the first image, the colour of the eyes is amazing!

The second one is nice, really like the angle, and the cats expression. The depth of feild is spot on aswell, really draws your eye to the face, and nice use of the rule of thirds there too.

I'm not keen on the third one, I think it's too similar to the second, but lacks what makes the second so nice. A different angle/position of the cat would make it a nice trio.

Difficult to take pictures of cats so you have to be quick to capture the moment. :) The first one is very good, the second isn't too bad but the third one doesn't do much for me. Thanks for posting though, am a big fan as a fellow cat owner.
