    Im kinda surprised by this, but stirred by the recent purchase of Warlords Ive reinvested some time in Civ 4 and I decided to brush up on play strategies, especially given the patch changes. There seems to be feck all out there that isnt helplessly basic or purely devoted to multiplayer. Anyone able to reccomend a good site for articles/guides?

    Hey Sand,

    Try Civ Fanatics -> http://www.civfanatics.com/

    There some really good stickies in the forums.

    Cheers, much to mull over - particularly liked pulling of the Code Of Laws-Oracle-Civil Service slingshot. Not something I had exploited before - I usually settled for Metal Casing or similar.

    i recommend apolyton,

    not as popular as civfanatics, but their no less fanatical.

    excellant strategy guide for vanillia civ 4 here
    which still mostly applies to warlords.

    Always thought Apolyton was a bit better mind you - they got that guru dude up there.

    Haven't checked in a while, but the main early strategies for Civ 4 were City Specialisation, Wood Chopping and various early slingshots.
