looking to buy a lcd or similar hd tv size 37-42,i am buying a xbox 360 at xmas and want to get the full value out of it.
i would appreciate any advice or peoples own experience on what hd tv the have or where the bought it.

was in extra vision today looking at a few and i can tell you a lot of them are not good quality as in the sharpness and contrast of bringing the colours real.
not sure how the were connected up so i don,t know if the were broadcasting through hd on them,as it was a game menu that was on the screens.

there was a 37 tv there and the quality was brutal, while smaller tvs had better all round picture quality.

if you're buying an LCD you really need to do lots of research. Wouldn't touch anything from harvey normans with a barge pole. Heard one sales assistant reccomending one of their special offer tvs to a couple a week ago. He was assuring them it would future proof them for HD. Turns out the resolution was around 900 X 800 or something equally awful.

Post in the home entertainment forums or check out some posts on www.avforums.co.uk to get some idea of what to look for, then you can evaluate the 'bargains' posted here much better.

If you CBA doing that :) then check out your local extravision for the hyndai 32" they were doing. They seemed to be ok
