hi i'm looking for somewhere i can buy cheap ink. for a cannon mp 170 (a cheap all in one printer). can any one help?
also what type of printer would be econimical and cost efficiant for full colour a4 printing. i wouldn't mind spending big if i'd save in the long run!

There are a number of decent places.

InkClub (I have used these a number of times)
    Inkjet.ie

There's no secure connection when you give your credit card details, looks a bit amateurish despite there being some nice deals on offer.

Their Condtions say otherwise, despite the lack of https in the checkout. :)
Card payments are handled by our payment service provider NetGiro. All transactions between a customer and inkClub, as well as between inkClub and NetGiro, are always protected and safeguarded by utilising secure technology standards (SSL/HTTPS). The card company’s terms and conditions are valid upon unauthorized use of credit and debit cards. Your card number and personal information is protected by NetGiro and will not be forwarded to a third party. Card numbers are never stored by inkClub.
For more information about NetGiro, please use the following link: www.netgiro.com.

Never seen that before, but free photo paper and €0.20 optical mouse is too good an offer to shun :)

I got some free photo paper before, I think it was 4x6. It was fairly crappy quality but meh its free as you said. :)

I've always used Cartex.co.uk and 7dayshop.com for my consumables.

On a seperate but similar topic..........for Dell printers-can the replacement ink cartridges only be bought off Dell, any way to refill them, buy cheap replacements etc.?

You should be able to get a refill kit for them and you can get replacement cartridges in other places apart from Dell (for most models I believe).

Found a few more, I have dealt with Viking out of the ones below.

    Viking Direct
    Discount Irish Cartridges
    BigInk
    Ink4Europe

I've bought a few refilled carts from viking and a couple of other of the sites mentioned here.
I would say there is about a 50% fail rate when you put the ink in.
One or other of the inks is dried up and the refilled cart doesnt work.
I've come to the conclusion that buying refilled carts is so hit and miss that its a waste of money.
Better off buying new or refilling them yourself.
