Highly amused to see Eamon Delaney being treated to some of the disdain he likes to foist on others by political bruiser George Galloway on the Late Late last night. ie "who the hell are you? I've never heard of you."

I really ****ing hate it when people say 'we' when referring to the actions of the British and Americans.

It's "they" Eamon. "They". We are not allies of the British and Americans in this struggle. Any more than the French. Or the Germans, or the Spanish etc etc etc

I've yet to see the whole thing but frankly Galloway's response of 'I don't know who you are' is moronic; the guy can be a superb public speaker but he's simply throwing in the towel if he refuses to answer someone's point because they aren't known to him.

Well to be fair I think he did make his points as well. But he's a bruiser and likes to hit back at people by pointing out inconsistencies in their arguments with reference to other things they've taken a stance on.

One example was his jibe at a Republican Senator on the Oil for Food committee ("I've been an opponent of Sadam since round about the time you were an anti-Vietnam war protestor, Senator" ) As he didn't know who Delaney was he wasn't able to thumb his nose at him to the same degree.

I'm very unsure about Galloway. He's great to watch but there's a whiff of sulphur about him. Still, it's reassuring to see an anti-Iraq war street fighter strutting his stuff in contrast to all the loquacious toadies eg Harris, Myers, Krauthammer, Steyn, Dooley, O'Connor we have to put up with in the Irish media.

He'd be taken far more seriously if he hadn't gone on big brother. Shame really he does like to duke it out (He is / was a boxer or something like that)

You can see it now on the RTE Website.

Make up your own minds. It's certainly watchable. Delaney doesn't come in for about 7.5 minutes.
