I woke this morning with the theme tune in me head, was so weird! I had one of the toys, the hero leader. I even remember his saying!

Whispered secrets of a shattered age, i summon you renew this sage...

God Im a nerd, kill me please!

Knights of the Magical Light! Brill series alright, must see if I can dig on a video of it which I surely have somewhere. I had the action figure of the one below, Cryotek. :)

Im sure there were no ropes, magical or otherwise, involved.

That show had some amount of variety, quality stuff... id buy that full series if i had a means to.

Vision-aries, Knights of the Magical Light!

I remember seeing an action figure, in Dunnes or something, one day and I just had to have it, even though I was too old for toys at that stage. They only had a bad guy so unfortunately I got stuck with him. His saying was something like:

    By nature's hand,
    By crime, by art,
    What once was whole
    Now pry apart!

The holograms on their chests were animals that they turned into, I think. And the holograms in their poles were like gods they could summon through their mantras. Classic stuff!

    I had this guy:

    and his vehicle:

    He's called Mortdredd apparently.

The action figures were actually very good and highly articulated, which wasn't something you'd see too often in toys back then as 4 moving joints and a possible twisting head was the norm.

All the bad guys seemed to have beards though... what's that supposed to teach us?

monkeyfudge yer signature is classic! Makes me laugh...yeah, the Visionaries action figures were pretty cool, the holograms worked kinda like the transformers. You had to give it a rub with your finger so you can see what animal you were, or in the transformers case, whether you were an autobot or a decepticon, wooooo 80s flashbacks!!!! :D
