Well before I ask about the lcd thing just quick question about the battery on my inspiron 9300 isn't charging at all from the mains. I have it plugged into the AC mains all the time anyways but abit of a bitch if I was to go around the house with it. I got the new battery recall from dell and it's still the same. Any ideas bout this? It's still under warrenty so might ring dell. It's been like this awhile but I hate ringing dell going through all the bullsh@t from India

Anyway my main question. I'm going hooking up the 9300 to my lcdtv(1366x768) with vga cable but just wondering what about sound? I don't think the inspiron has rca outputs? I like to be able watch all my .avi files etc on the lcd.

    thanks

I have a cable that has a standard 3.5mm jack on one end and red/white rca connectors on the other end. You can then connect the headphone output of the laptop to the audio input of the lcd tv.

I am relatively sure you can get these type of cables in any electrical shop.
