Luggage restrictions have been eased a bit, but still no liquids allowed afaik, so that's probably no go for toiletries as well. Some friends of mine have had serious issues with this regarding contact solution on long flights and other things. But I guess if it makes us safer it's better for all :)

There are no "new" restrictions on hand baggage out of Dublin, the restrictions are ex-UK airports and from Poland/Italy/France into the UK.

i work for aer lingus so going by our policy it is that all hand luggage restrictions have returned to normal EXCEPT for people travelling to the UK with an onwards connection. Thats from Cork airport too Dublin should opperate the same policy. You should be safe as **** so long as its not too heavy.

Its not just from Cork and Dublin that the rules have been relaxed.
Same applies to Shannon, Kerry, Knock, Galway, Waterford.

    Question on this line.

Im giong to Mankchester this weekend and want to avoid checking in bags etc. Ive taken a holdall before but not since the 'no fluid days'

Basically last time i went with same bag the restrictions were 55x20x40 and under 10kg. I will be under that but the bag is probably longer than 55cm.

Will I be ok, i mean it fits in the overhead bins. Will they get snotty and refuse?
