Her concept, her money, our tech that's all. She is being interviewed about on Spin and a few other radio stations on Monday...

She got the idea watching The Break Up and no one could accuse me of watching that!

Personally I think it is a bit goofy but she doesn't want to go to college so I am trying to encourage her in whatever she does...

Obviously having my sister review your phone sex recording might seem a bit odd but we're very caring and sharing here and I know you'll keep it nice...

Hi Everybody just an important note on a change to the T&C of Getmooh.com just so nobody thinks we are trying to take the mickey. Antonia thinks it is fair enough for Getmooh to let people who have signed up if Getmooh extends its service. We are also now recording the calls so people who place them can listen to the results by logging in. Let us know what you guys think. Obviously the T&C are not retrospective!!

Marketing
By agreeing to the terms and conditions you accept that Getmooh may email you from time to time about additional services offered by Getmooh. You will not recieve any marketing or other materials from any 3rd Party.

Recording
By agreeing to the terms and conditions you accept that Getmooh will record the contents of the call recieved, including the spoken voice of the person called as well as the playback from the Getmooh system. This recording will only be available to you through your Getmooh account.

If you see my post of 07-10-2006, 21:40 on the previous page I did highlight the change. It is different to the original. We had to do it otherwise we would not be able to even email people to say anything about Getmooh. Anyway Getmooh does not verify on email but on mobile number - so 40% of people fake their email anyway which is as good a way of opting out as any I reckon.

Also there is an unsub function on all our communications.

We don't have any SMS receiving capacity yet so it is not possible to unsub by SMS - but then we only ever send SMS with password. We have not done any SMS contact with users who signed up other than that. To be honest I can't see us doing any either because you can't really express much detail about a new service/gizmo on SMS...

I totally understand that most people look at the site and the kind of thing it is and just reckon the only way we can do anything with it is by wrecking people's heads with spam, but the simple fact is we set the thing up as a laugh and we intend to keep it as fun as possible. We really just want to add loads of cool stuff to it and then I guess let people know about it when it is live.

If we had some visible means of support (like google ads) maybe people would be less suspicious of our intentions - but the fact is we don't need a lot of revenue to keep it going at its current level, so we thought it would be cooler to find services that people would pay for and those we are going to launch soon...

I don't think direct marketing is a very interesting way to make money - I think if Getmooh has any business potential it will be to do with social networking etc...rather than some cheap ass direct marketing.

I would love to do the whole system without requiring any signup - that was the original idea. But sadly once the service you provide is open to abuse and also costs money for every usage, you simply have to be able to control it. The only hole in the site to date (that we know of!) was ruthlessly robotted within days of our launch and I think that simply proves our point on this.
