Yup. In town, do you know where the Radisson is? Just in front of their, you get a nice view of the lake and great reflection at dawn. Then there's the spot beside the diving board at Blackrock in Salthill, very very nice, but of course as such even at 6am you wont be alone usually!
However, my favourite spot (and if I ever meet someone there, I'll know it's you - havent once met anyone else there!), is the hill beside Silver Strand beach in Barna. You're not technically supposed to walk up it, but..everyone does. Just not at dawn! You'll get alot of couples etc walking around it at sunset though alright. Here's a photo for that spot to see what it looks like..

You can't go wrong with a sunset in Galway!

    There's plenty of good places.

    Terryland Castle:

The Waterside, which is a personal favourite:

    Blackrock:

I'll be back in Galway in around three weeks if you want a personal tour then. :p

PM me and I will take you up on the offer. I am very new to Galway so anywhere I head to will be new for me (other than the Radisson of course LOL)

Thanks for the comments guys - really appreciate the locations.

Hopefully over the weekend I will be able to post my attempts at it.

Just out of interest what ISO would you shoot at??
