Well the day has finally arrived.

Our first tournament as Poker Ireland takes place tonight in the Fairways Hotel, Dundalk Co. Louth at 8pm.

    All the info is listed below;

Stephen Mc Lean and Julie O’Leary (Trading as Poker Ireland Ltd.) are running this event.

The purpose of the event is commercial and the best possible service will be given to players.

The event will take place on Friday the 29th of September in the Fairways Hotel & Conference Centre, Dublin Road, Dundalk Co. Louth.

Registration will be open from 19:00 on the 29th and the tournament will begin at 20:00 sharp.

    All are welcome.

Qualifiers have been running at different locations around the country throughout September.
Players can pay their entry fee on the night, before the start time!

    This will be a no-limit hold’em feeze-out.

The cost of entry will be €500 and there will be no re-buys.

There will be a charge of €35 registration.

100 % of entry fee going into Prize fund.

No guaranteed prize-pool but a conservative estimate would be €25,000.

    Starting Chips- 10,000
    Blind levels-
    Level 1. 50 – 100 (35 mins)
    Level 2. 75 – 150 (35 mins)

    15 minute break
    Level 5. 200 – 400 [50 Ante] (40 mins)
    Level 6. 300 – 600 [75 Ante] (40 mins)

    Level 17.10,000 – 20,000 [2,000 Ante] (40 mins)

Blind timeframes- 35 minutes for first four levels and forty minutes for every level thereafter….

This will be an all cash pay-out tournament and the top 10% of players will be payed out (this may be subject to a slight change depending on numbers, i.e. if there are 53 players there will probably be 6 places paid)

There will be dealers and we have enlisted the help of some of the best in the
business, with full rotations and all the works.

There will be a documented list of rules.

There will be a tournament director- me, Stephen Mc Lean and I will have final say on any disputes.

Check out our new web-site, www.pokerireland.ie....

Live updates (as much as possible) will be posted here in this thread during the course of the tournament.

    Thanks,
    Hope to see you there.

    Hey Stephen,

Seems like this event is gonna be a good one. Hope you get a good crowd and more importantly, get the players talking about how good the layout, structure and gameplay was. Hopefully this goes from strength to strength and its a pity i cant play tonight. (In work till 930 tonight and back in at 7 in the morn). I'll be at the next one, work permitted, to give a bit of support coz i'd love to see you succeed. Best of luck mate

    Tony

Well Ste, I wish you the very best of luck. Won't make it tonight myself - but I'm sure it will be a success.
