Lidl Sat Finder probs - No BBC/ITV etc

Sorry Ive browsed through all other posts but without any answer to my problem. Ive aligned my satellite using the €10 sat finder + the lidl satellite set. I managed to align the dish to "a satellite" (the sat finder doesnt distinguish which satellite I am attached to). I turned knob to left, aligned my satellite, eventually leds went to top but got no sound from sat finder.

I done an Auto Search and picked up tonnes of channels but no BBC or ITV stuff. Like those channels are there but "No Signal" appears when I try to view. All the other German channels work fine.
This makes me think that I have attached to Astra 1. So I have a few questions.

    1) Can I confirm that I actually have attached to Astra 1 instead of Astra2?
    2) Will I have to realign my dish to pick up Astra 2?
    If so then,
Which direction should I begin moving my dish.
Will the sat finder help me in any way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    R.

Are ITV now available on this for free? What about Channel 4 and 5?

I bought this sytem but dont use it now. However, I could really do with it in one of my houses.

I also bought a Sat finder of Tony before, very good job, way better than LIDL one. Tony, could you post a link up to your Sat finder where I buy it online?

    Ok, found it at http://www.satellite.ie/acatalog/Satfinder_satellite_meter.html.

Is ITV etc available for free now though on it?

Also, Tony, I see you charge 21% VAT. If you put down your systems as , take for example the 300 euro fta system, as 2/3 of price for installation and only 1/3 for the equipment you would only have to pay VAT at about 12%. Its perfectly acceptable and legal to do it too. So rather than pay 60 euro VAT you could only charge 30 euro VAT cutting 30 euro off the price.

Thats a good point but discussed this with the revenue sometime ago and they say it must be sold using 21 % . Reducing the equipment price to bring up the install charge and therby applying the 2/3 rule is against revenue rules I'm told and it would also mean I'd have to detail the inflated install charge which might put people off. ITV has been free for some time now and film four has recently come on board.

Well I can see that it may seem unprofessional to the customer but im sure they would be delighted to save money.

As far as revenue is concerned there is nothing they can do if you increase installation charges and reduce product sale price. Its perfectly acceptable.

He'd have to offer the same price for non-install sales. The acceptability is open to opinion.

This is totally off-topic. Any more on how to bend VAT rules instead of Satellite, and ideally finding satellite, it gets locked.
