My family has operated for decades from industrial units built on land which was leased on a 99year lease. Nearly 70years of this are up and i was wondering if anyone knows the companies legal rights to this land - ? Can we force the landlords to sell it ? I think it would be a good investment and it would be an asset which we could use to raise more finance with from the Banks as without it they are reluctant to lend.

Im afraid there is no legal right to the land. A lease in a lease.

You can demand a new 20 year lease but there will be rent reviews this time
