    Hi,

    was Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the term ref rate. I just recieved a document relating to payment structure and pay scales and can't think of what this might mean.
    The pay band where broke down as

    Bottom Rate
    €xxxxxx

    Ref Rate
    €xxxxxx

    Top Rate
    €xxxxxx

    1. Lowest rate for the work
    2. your rate
    3. highest rate

    Usually:
    1: Lowest rate at this position
    2: Average/Standard rate at this poition
    3: Maximum rate you have earn before you have to be promoted to get to next rate
