Electric Mopeds

    Hi,

I usually bicycle to work (cross city, about 30 mins), but am looking for an alternative so I can take days off cycling to go to the gym etc.

I am thinking of getting a moped and am especially interested in electric mopeds.

I read a fairly unflattering review from the Irish Times, but then again I have read other reviews that didn't mention any of the problems this guy had (like the delay in acceleration  ).

Does anyone have any personal experiences or opinions with electric mopeds?

I know of a guy who crashed into a pedestrian who walked out in front of him.
He has since bought a "noisy" moped. Lesson learned.

That was one thing that worried me. Plus car doors opening suddenly etc. That said, as a cyclist it's no different. I'm used to dozey pedestrians.
