The focusing wheel on my Sigma 105mm 2.8 macro is gone REALLY tight...Anyone else have this problem?

    Any quick fixes?

I was hoping to use it in a shoot tomorrow!

Is it possible that it is off thred?

Try pulling it forward and back a little to loosen it.

Nope, didn't drop it, was sitting on my shelf for the last 3 days.

I think it could be off the thread, it's the same on and off the camera.

Been pulling forward and back like a wa... all morning, to no avail :(

    is it unusable?

I have the same lens (nikon fit), if you need a quick loan (and are in Dublin) send me a PM.

    Lol, Canon here :(

I'll be grand for a loan, I have a 35-105, but I just prefer the glass in the 105 :)

It's usuable, but it takes a fair bit of pressure to move the focusing ring!

I had a problem with my 30mm 1.4 lens ,I could twist the lens but it wouldn't move inside the lens ,like it wouldn't catch it .
Took 4 weeks to fix at Sigma ,down in Cork.

It was only 10 months old ,Conns handled the guarantee work on it .
They sent it down to the sigma place ,you could send it down there yourself.
