Orinoco Gold can't find my WiFi Router

Strange problem here... I'm trying to configure a second laptop - a Fujitsu Amilo D7830 with a Proxim branded Orinoco Gold 802.11b PCMCIA Card - for my home network. It's a basic Netopia Cayman 3347w which the other laptop in the house (A HP with Built-in Wireless) can see fine

The thing is, it doesn't seem to want to be found in the normal WinXP connect window. Even with Netstumbler I can see the 3 routers of the neighbours, just not this one! It's a strange problem, ethernet'd up it works fine and I've disabled and re-enabled WEP to see if it made any difference. I have to admit that I'm stumped at this one. I've tried it at every conceivable distance and with the Wireless in the other Laptop turned on and off. So much for this "wardriving" card

    Any thoughts?

    Fixed it :D

Changed the broadcast channel from 12 to 1 on the router via ethernet and it picked it up.

    Strange bug

If it is a US model, it has only 11 channels and therefore won't see anything on channel 12 or 13.
