    Hi,

I have a Dell LCD TV (17inch) which i use for my computer and watching tv in my bedroom. The Dell tv has gone belly up and to cut a long story short can't be fixed.
Dell.ie dont sell them anymore so i'm gonna buy a new lcd monitor from them. The thing is i want to continue to watch tv so how do i go about doing this?
Do i have to get a tv card for my pc or how is it done?

    Cheers :)

hey 20LEgend.... yes you can obtain a tvcard, pop it into the pc and hook it up to ur tv/cable/VCR whichever.... you can then launch the software that comes with the tvcard kit... and basically tune in your channels onto your computer ..... even record your own favourite programmes! ;)

    Goodluck with it!

    i use this tv card:

and i've no complaints. there are more expensive ones with bells and whistles but this one is fine. and you can type in the frequency you want using the bundled software which is a feature lacking from most software. most of them use an auto scan thing and then only let you do minor adjustments with a scroll bar thing. head wrecking

it has coax, s video and composite inputs

If you're looking for simplicity, TV cards also comes with USB2 interface.
