if the incompetent boobs at Irish Rail can manage to put realtime information on the Dart website, why is there nothing similar on the (awful) Luas website.

They have the information - it can't be that difficult to link the info displayed at the stops into the website. You would think they would've done this when they were setting the system up.

Because LUAS is generally regular and reliable, while DART isn't? And by regular, about every 5-7 mins. And IE can't, that real time info is usually wrong

i've found the Dart website to be generally accurate.

yeah the Luas is more regular than the Dart, but you still get 10 minute gaps, if they have the information I don't see why they can't put it online.

But I'm at a loss as to what anyone copuld/would actually do with that information though, even if it was supplied, apart from just satisfying their curiosity. I mean, it isn't exactly the end of the world of you get to the Luas stop and have to wait an average of, say, 5 minutes for another Luas to arrive is it?

I agree, would be especially useful in the off peak, and why not do luastext, text the name of your stop and recieve the info you see on the vms at the stops.

Why would anybody even want to look at the times on a web site? By the time you boot up your computer, load the website and shut down again you could be sitting on the tram. It's not like they only come every hour.
