Ryanair are offering special fares of €10 each way including taxes. Details on site. You still need to pay credit card fee on top

I've just booked a return to Gatwick for €25 in total with just 2 weeks notice :D

How do you know which fares are in this special. I'm sure I'm selecting a flight within the applicable travel date and outside the blackout periods???

i noticed last night that ryanair are now (havent booked anything in a while) charging 4.50 each way for baggage!!
this meant a flight listed as 0.01 going out and 24.99 return + taxes etc + baggage for 4 people was coming in at 275 euro. not surprisingly, there is no mention of this extra until the last page or so of the booking procedure.

How many bags are you bringing.... €4.50 euro each way would give a total of €36 for 1 bag each for 4 people. €68 each for a flight is hardly expensive. Also, the hold baggage is is generally enough unless you are going away for 3 weeks.

i wasnt complaining bout the price of the flights per say (still way cheaper than anyone else), just stating that there was no mention of this extra at any other stage, so say if you went for 10 euro flights each way, say for four people which should be 80, its was an extra 36 for your baggage. as far as i could see this charge was for any baggage your were taking, whether it was being stored in the hold or not.

    Not correct.

You are allowed one item of hand baggage (weight and size restrictions apply) free of charge. Checked baggage attracts a fee.
The Baggage Fee may be prepaid at the current discounted rate of €4.50/£3.50 per item of baggage/per one way flight when making your reservation. If the Baggage Fee is paid after you have made your booking either at the airport, or through a Ryanair call centre, the full rate of £7/€10 per item of baggage/per one way flight is charged.

All of that is included in the Terms and Conditions you are required to confirm you have read on the 2nd page of the booking process.

This was publicised in all newspaper and on television when it was introduced a few months ago. Aer Lingus follow suit in January, and other airlines around Europe are also looking at implementing it.

The main idea is to break the fare down so that those without bags pay less - thus allowing airlines have headline adverts of 1p per flight - (Excluding Taxes, Bags, Food, Seats and applicable to those with blue hair weighing 8stone or less in receipt of invalidity pension and accomppanied by both parents) - All others must use mastercard!
