Snow Board Holiday (x-mas week) suggestions

    hi people.

Looking to go snowboarding x-mas week or a little longer.

Only real requirements is that I can take taught lessons, rent the gear there and it's relatively cheap. I'm not into hanging out with the Chamo crowd drinking champers.

I have a car so would consider driving (maybe as part of a road trip!) but would fly. I've only just started looking and Glenshee in Scotland looks good. Has anyone ever been?

It was also suggested to me to check out Bulgaria as a cheap/fun option as it seems it does be going off there.

Not really sure how much this will cost so any indications/suggestions would be great.

I am aware that the more days you buy for teh lifts the cheaper it gets so I'll probably do4-5days of it then some r&r somewhere.

So any ideas, suggestions, tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mot.

Someone must be able to suggest something or has no one been snowboarding?

Andorra is as cheap as you'll get which is close to home and it is nearly always gaurenteed snow, i had a friend who went to bulgaria and he couldn't ski for 3 days out of 7 due to lack of snow, but i'm not sure when he went.

For christmas and new years weeks it's usually a bit dearer.

unless you book everything your self you'll only get 7/14 day trips, as the tour operators want ful occupancy. you can get all your equipment from them in a package, which will include board, bindings, boots. and also lessons. you need to sort out your own clothing.

go to budget and pick up a few brochures and have a look at what they have.
