    Anyone heard of this before? taking place in naas this december, as far as i know it's kickboxing but the details are shady.
    Anyone here entering?

    JK used to run sub wrestling competitions at them.

    It's Pat Corbett's events, points (semi-contact) and continuous points sparring. If you pick up an Irish Fighter I'm sure you'll find an ad for it with contact details.

    Pat White is the guys name afaik.

    There's 3 or 4 of them per year.

    Is the event any use? What's the standard like? I hear it's broken up into belts.

    Standard light (and semi) contact rules, except no sweeps (?) AFAIK.
    No mats either. Fighting area is just a cordoned-off part of a basketball court.
    Entry fee for fighters is €20 , which I consider a bit rich for that type of event. Judging and reffing can be grand, or absolutely abysmal.

    I say avoid....and go to one of the many similar, but superior events coming up.

    Very poor judging in my experience.
