I won't be watching it either I don't think. The first Butterfly Effect film I have on DVD has the directors cut on it, very interesting.

It's a good film but that's about it.. interesting enough but got some truly dire acting in it.

    Preferred the original ending (
watching down the street and seeing Amy Smart's character.. forget her name
) to the director's cut which was all a bit daft and had some horrible CGI.

Also thought it was a joke that the version they released to rent / buy - the it only had the option for the Director's Cut ending and not the original. Grrr!

PS - 'The Butterfly Effect 2' is straight-to-video by the way.

Didnt like the first one at all. Thought it was trying too hard to be clever and what not, didnt pay enough attention to actually being any good. Completely unlikable characters and situations.

Absolutely no need for a sequel! The first one wasn't exactly a masterpiece, but I really enjoyed it.

 I thought the theatrical ending was really awful. I much preferred the director's cut. Also,
remember the part when Ashton Kutcher's mom said that she had 2 previous still-births before giving birth to him? That wouldn't really have any significance without the director's cut ending.
Anyway, each to their own I guess ;)

that bit (and the bit with the fortune teller) wasn't in the original either :p

oh and i prefered the original ending too, but the director cut one was nice and dreary just like the rest of the film

there is a few alternative endings on youtube

I thought the first one was absolutely awful, the acting, the story, I just hated everything about it. Ashton Kutcher should have stuck to what he's good at, which would be, eh, being Demi Moore's toyboy I guess, or that rubbish he does on MTV.

This one looks worse, if that were possible.

Just watched the first film now and I thought it was brilliant. Will have to give the second a look at some stage.

Wow I had no idea they were making another one.
I liked the original. Thought the director's cut was a genius plot-line.
Sequels are never as good as the original, but I'll probably see this one too, just to say I've seen it.

I went to see the Butterfly Effect in the cinema when it came out. Not being a big Ashton Kutcher I was pleasantly surprised at how well he played the role.

I loved the first installment but have absolutely no interest in this piece of drival. It's a pity they have to go and ruin all the good work of the first film.

okay i watched the sequal, yeah not a terribal flick, reminded me of the thirteenth floor for some reason

can't really be compared to the original (aka--the best film ever!!!)

watched it twice, disliked it the first time, found it tried too hard the second time.

Here's a deal go watch All That Jazz the film I consider to be the greatest of all time, if you come back and tell me you dislike it, watch it again and if you still dislike it, we will agree to disagree and accept we have different tastes in films.
