Error 7 - XBOX

    Hi,
    I have a friends XBOX here. Yesterday I did a softmod on another friends XBOX and it went perfect.
    Today I told another friend i'd do it for him, as it seemed so easy.

    So I get everything set up for the softmod:
    Had the PC paused before the detect screen
    Disconnected IDE2
    Opened XBOX
    Had XBOX HDD within a few inches of PC's IDE Cable.

    Powered on XBOX
    Took cable out when MS logo appeared.
    Plugged straight into PC IDE2

    Continued loading PC
    XBOX was not detected at boot, nor when I loaded into windows.

    Tried again

    getting error 7

    I think its an XBOX 1.0
    Never been modded before.

    any help?

    I should also say that i have a spare hard drive or 2 lying around, if thats any help?
