rdp blocked?

does anybody know if rdp or vnc is blocked for outgoing trafic in dcu?, i tried to connect to my pc (at home) remotely today and it said not found yet i can do it fine from everywhere else, i couldnt even ping it so i assume its blocked can anyone confirm?
