    Hey any freshers or continuing students in Trinity interested in setting up a band? Im a fresher guitarist and I play a bit of everything. Looking for a bassist,drummer and a singer. Let me know if your interested and what kinda stuff your into etc.

    Ps. Mr mod please dont move this thread because its targeted at Trinity students! :)

    Might be worthwhile placing a notice here: http://www.tcd.ie/Secretary/Communications/Noticeboard/, because there has been talk before about a certain Physics lecturer's band...

    And apart from that, maybe head to DURNS (Dublin University Rock Nostalgia Society) during Freshers' Week.

    I think DURNS have booked Regent's House again for members to use for band practice. We had a couple of new bands use it to meet up and kick out some jams in the past. You'll have access to drums, a piano, a bass amp and a guitar amp provided none of them have been destroyed since I was last up there.

    I listen to absolutely everything, play a usa strat, have a real good understanding of music theory n chords, can solo really well at moderate tempos but I aint no shredder, thank god ;) I suppose the music I like to play most on guitar is rock, but I listen to all sorts, acoustic, blues, jazz, pop etc etc... Id be happy to start something up once were not playing die hard metal and you can keep tight and steady beats! Im really only interested in writing original material. Would do a couple of covers too though but they get boring after a while. What kinda stuff are you into, how long have you been playing and whats your set up like?

    woohoo! into everything really - rock, indie, jazzy stuff, even pickin up some blues bass lines...

    some fookin class bands: chili peppers, pearl jam, radiohead, led zeppellin etc etc.....

    playin 2 years

    rig-wise: fender precision (soon to be traded in for a 60th anniversary edition....),tanglewood rebel, acoustic rickback

    nd ditto about the original thing.......
