Thanks Dougal,

I actually downloaded that last night, but could not figure for the life of me how to configure it for blueface. Any help would be appreciated.

It was many moons ago when I had it set up. I'll have a go on my XDA when I get home as there's no wireless in here. Did you try creating a new Profile and using the Blueface settings to create a SIP-proxy profile (using the info from Blueface's site)?

OK. Got it going with freespeech but I'd imagine there isn't much difference. You need to create a new profile (Menu/Options.../Profiles/New...) and give it a profile name (e.g. Blueface). Leave the default Profile Type (Calls through SIP Proxy) and click OK. Go to SIP Proxy and configure sip.blueface.ie as your proxy domain. That should be it. When you click OK (top right) you should be prompted for your username and password. That should be it.

I had to poke holes through my firewall for things to work ok. By default it will dial a SIP address (i.e. sip:<username>@<ip : port>) but you can dial a regular number with the 'phone' prefix (i.e. phone:<phone number>).

I did notice that the receive stream on the XDA was a bit choppy but the remote end of the call rx was fine.

    Hope that helps.

No prob. I'll probably be on to you at some stage to pick your brains about X10 ;). I'd say the choppy rx/dl might be to do with the horsepower (RAM & CPU) in the XDA or the codec - or a combination of both. Ideally the G.729 one should be used but you don't get that with the free edition of SJ Phone.

Should also say, for the XDA II, I recently upgraded the battery with a 2400mAh battery for just over €30. You're probably aware that the wifi can get through the battery pretty swiftly. I used a crowd on eBay called Sino Battery.
