Problems with Sharing on Win XP Pro

I have a XP Pro computer whose "my documents" i want to share with the person who owns the documents when they log into the other 3 computers in the network.

My problem is that they are not password protected. IE anyone whole opens up the MShome workgroup can double click on the computer and access everyone elses files even though everyone's user account has a password.

I have disabled simple file sharing, but when i try to set permissions i cant choose a computer in the workgroup.

Has anyone got any advice that i could try, it is such a simple problem that i really dont want to fork out money on third part software.

    regards

create a user account for this person on the machine that hosts the shared folder.

Set the permissions on the folder for that user.

Have the user use the username/password that was setup on the machine that hosts the shared folder to access the share.

There's probably an easier way I'm not much of a windows person.
