undelete software for mac ?

    my pal has deleted all his photos & movies from his round-the-world trip ... and would like to recover them

    files were deleted on Saturday ... i advised him not to install/delete anything ... so as not to alter the disk contents any further ... that's exhausted my knowledge

    any recommendations for recovering the data ? it's a powerbook running 10.4.3

    any advice ?

    Could somebody tell me how to use this please. I downloaded from the Mac OS X link it and unzipped it, but I can't see any actual application in the folder. There are two sub-folders, one called Darwin, one called doc. All there is, is the things for Terminal, which I know absolutely nothing about.

    After a little bit of time working with it, I got it, thanks.

    I have to say that I've never understood the manual control stuff on a Mac. I've never known what to do with it.
