Dublin Players Urgently Needed in Dundalk

    Hi all,

Sorry about the dramatic title but I just wanted to say that if you are a Dublin player looking for a really good tournament check out the Fairways Hotel, Dundalk this Friday Sept 29th, 8pm start.

Its a €500 (+ €35 registration) freeze-out with a very playable structure (see previous thread) and all of the Northern counties will be very well represented.

However, I'm worried that I will look the fool if I can't get any players from my home county to play.

There will be a minimum of 40 players at this event so in a sense you could say that I am guaranteeing a €20,000 prize-pool but in another sense I'm not.

What I will guarantee is a really well run tournament and a great atmosphere (courtesy of Julie O'Leary and myself) only a stones throw outside the pale. Starts8pm sharp.

    If you're interested,
    Stephen Mc Lean.
    0872 424 626.
    Thanks.

This is the day before the 500 game in the Fitz I believe. Ye might be getting in each others way a bit. I won't be playing either though as they are both above my budget at the moment.

I think you need to get a stunt-calendar-teacher (possibly called Julian or Gregory - geddit???? sorry)

Friday is the day before Saturday (when the Fitz €500 is on), as opposed to the day after Thursday (when the €270 game is on).

OK, so when I win the 270 event on "Thursday" (with 72 taking down AA 17 times) then I'll play the 500 on "Saturday" and win that too....maybe I'll even go this "Dundalk" place on "Friday" and win that just for kicks!
and then I'll get this damn "calendar" thing fixed to my own specifications
    (and then you'll be sorry)

damn these dried mushrooms are tasty....
