new First-Person shooter by Ubisoft. touted for a long time as the primary FPS for the Wii (apart from MP3). looks sleek...

i'll be getting that (red steel) and super mario galaxy on launch (assuming mario hits at launch)

Mario is not a launch title.

I'll be getting zelda and Super smash brothers when it comes out.

Then I'll see what else I feel like getting :)

I'll defo get zelda and wait for the reviews of other games. I'll probably get a second controller, a retro controller and warioware for a party game and a few virtual console points, although I'll be buying them cheaper online after launch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,561 ✭✭✭Rhyme

I shall be availing of the silky allure of Zelda and most probably Warioware... other than that an impulse purchase of another controller might be in order.

    same here.
might pick up trauma centre as well if the price is decent in my local Smyths, otherwise I'll be ordering online...

    extra remote & numchuck,
    2 retro controllers,

some points for some old school action! :p

I haven't the foggiest. I'll probably get Red Steel reviews and viewing system fix pending.

I don't like the moving reticle idea.

Wii, Zelda, extra controller and a bucketload of Wii points!

    - Zelda (anyone not getting this? Hope they have enough of them!)
    - Some other game - maybe Red Steel.
    - Extra wiimote + nunchuck (might as well get that out of the way).
    - Some of those VC points.

Keep forgetting that Wii Sports is coming bundled. That should take care of the need for a 'party' game for a while at least. And I've got plenty of GameCube pads, so I don't see too much need for the classic controller just yet. I want one because they're sexy (love the updated SNES look), but sexy can wait for a day when I haven't just spent €400+.

    Wii, Zelda, extra controller.

I want to get red steel too, but between (or betwii-n....ahem(jesus)) Zelda and Wii sports, i'll have enough to keep me occupied for a while at least.

Really can't wait for Mario and Resi, though they could be a while.

For launch day, i will also have a chinese of some sort and a rake of budweiser.

    That'll be a good day.

Actually I never preordered Zelda  I better make a bee line for Smyths tonight.

Definitely Zelda. Probably either Trauma Center or Warioware aswell. Red Steel will depend on the reviews. Extra controller most likely too.

Replace that budweiser with Bulmers, and that's my plan down to a tee.

I'm preordering the box, but waiting for reviews to see what games I will pick up.. I'll buy accessories online I think, as I can wait and my bro will have another wii, so we will have two controllers at least...

I was in Game in town and there are 60 pre-orders for the Wii.. a long list..

Zelda (and judging by the thread here i might have to preorder) and a few extra conrtollers for wii sports, then possibly monkey ball if i have the cash.

I'm not buying another single player game till i finish Zelda because i plan on it taking over my life! :D I'll wait for a day or two and see how much wii sports keeps us entertained for multiplayer, then buy monkeyball.

    I'm assuming i don't need a classic controler if i have a gamecube one?

60 preorders in one store? that's actually millions for a nintendo release over here, expecially so far in advance.
jaysis, it might actually do well

    Wii console
    Zelda: Twilight Princess

    So that's about €320.

I may get another game... depending on reviews and on what's available. It would be great if Wii Play came bundled with a remote like it will be in Japan.

I was thinking the same. Wikipedia tells me that Wii Play is coming bundled with a remote in Japan.. Just the normal Wiimote yoke, with no nunchuck.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Play

Strange one if you ask me -- it's not like anyone buying the game isn't going to have a wiimote already -- but would be a handy way of getting a second controller.

    Wait, I'm still lost.

The PAL console, comes with EVERYTHING we need to play right? (assuming I have no friends) :D

I think it's an excellent idea. An economical way of getting an extra controller... for a multiplayer-kinda game no less.

EDIT: Ah terrible, it's call My First Wii in Japan.

Yes, the console comes with everything, including wiimote, nunchuck and a copy of Wii Sports.

In Japan they don't get a copy of Wii Sports with their console (which costs them about €50 less) but they do get an extra Wiimote when they buy Wii Play.
EDIT: Ah terrible, it's call My First Wii in Japan.
    Haha.
