    Here we go,

    Part 1:
Woke up this morning to find my moped had been stolen right out of my front garden, i then realised that i had left a bag of clothes in the seat which included my passport which was in my jeans pocket(completely forgot about it)

    Part 2:
In a state of anger and fuzziness i then walked out the door without my house key, nobody within close proximity who had a spare, so made my way into smithfield from rathmines to meet my girlfriend who had a key to her apartment which contained my spare key, (this was after she had told me to wait outside her apartment(20 minutes walk) for the landlord who was due to collect the rent, of course he didnt appear after me waiting 45 minutes outside in the rain)

    Part 3:
I then called the insurance company who proceeded to tell me that my policy didnt cover theft(for mopeds there is only 3rd party(700 yos) and fully comp(1500 yos) I then had to get a taxi to work after being an hour late

    Part 4:
Just to add insult to injury, i got my ownership form in the post today confirming i now own my stolen moped, how ironic is that?

    I love scumbags

ps everything above is completely true, hard to believe i know

Sorry to hear mate, had two motorcycles stolen in the past, been there heh, as for the other stuff... well the theft of the bike was out of your hands, but the rest was probably avoidable. The ownership thing arriving in the post was deffo the icing on the cake :(

That sounds rough tbh. I have a mate who had a day like that, he had his car stolen with his wallet in the glovebox. All his credit cards & ATM cards were stolen so to get money out of his account, he logged onto his bank account on the internet and moved some money electronically from his account into his girlfriends account, but she had an American Express card that was set up to take money automatically from her account and as it happened, it was due to come out on this particular day but the gf did not have the money to pay it, so when his money hit her account, American Express grabbed it back out before he could get down to the ATM machine. To wrap it all up, as he was standing at the ATM working all this out and trying to figure out where his 500 Euro had gone to, a bird sh1t on his head as he was standing at the ATM machine, I nearly pissed myself laughing at him when he told me all of the above!!! :D:D:D

I had my moped nicked from outside the house last year and it had been serviced the previous day. Luckily I had fully comp though and had also just had it renewed the week before so the loss of the no claims didn't hit me until last month, but that almost doubled the insurance.

Tomorrow has to be a better day for you though, hopefully.

Part 2: You just left your house, why did you have to go looking straight away for a key to get back in?

Ruu thats the first time you've said something that has completely made me grit my teeth  . The saying "someone had a case of the mondays" has to be the worst thing to hear when you are actually having a bad monday. Its like saying "suffering from some PMT" to a woman if they are cranky. Had a horrible day myself, really need to find an apartment, went to view one today, got up at 6am (mmm love those dark mornings) that was a good 2hrs away on buses and trains only to find out that the price i'd been quoted over the phone was actually €200 less than what it actually is. €1500 p/mt for a 1 bed/bath that might fit 2 oompa loompas. I would've argued that it was misadvertising but I couldn't be bothered, I wouldn't of gone for it anyway. Plus it was advertised as being within "walking distance" of the Luas. It was a good 25min walk away. How far technically is "walking distance"?

bah... I have sympathy OP, manys a time i've had a string of unfortunate events that where completely out of my control happen to me. I don't believe in luck, but sometimes you have to wonder.

I'd say Ruu was just quoting tongue in cheek from the film "Office Space" where that expression was used and hated by the people hearing it in the film.

Not really, because your implying that to use "well, someones having a case of the mondays" is some kind of insult or implying they are maybe just being a bit melodramatic? Yes?

I imagine what Ruu was simply saying was the Monday, being the Multiverse's most poxy and downright devious day, was severly f*cking with the poor OP.

Though i am completely unsure why i am posting this as Ruu is more than capable of explaining that himself.

How am I implying its an insult? ekevosu got it right, i'd forgotten they elaborated on it in Office Space. Its just one of those statements of the obvious that makes situations worse. Like someone saying "you need to relax" when you're mad about something. I'm not mad at Ruu (how can you be) just stateing that hearing or reading that string of words on monday really gets my goat.

You did see that i put that as a question right, asking if you had picked it up that way????? I was not stating that you had. ;)
