Morning all... apparantly tomorrow (tuesday 26th) is our society sign up day. We'll probably be charging 2 euro for membership of the DIT Poker Soc, although being honest im not 100% sure what you get for the 2 euro. I'll think of something...

from wednesday 27th (or the following wednesday, TO BE CONFIRMED) we will be starting the famous dit 5 euro turbo re-buy crapshoot... watch this space for more info...

Hey the people voted for thursday in the poll man give the people what they want!!! Wednesday is a bad day for alot of people e.g Me, Llyod, Tag...And also Champions league!!! So i propose that Jeff changes to Thursday or at least consider alternating between wednesdays and thursdays!!

Utterly Disgraceful stuff.

1)Jeff starts a thread with a poll asking people which day they would prefer the tourney's to be on.

2)Regular contributers to the said tourneys reply and vote on said Poll.

3)The result of said poll is a resounding yes to poker on Thursdays.

4)Jeff decides to completely disregard said poll and go ahead with tourneys on a Wednesday anyway.

If I was a Student I would prefer not to pay €2 to such a cowboy. What is he going to do with the €2? Buy himself loads of sweeties. Thats what...

Does Jeff value and appreciate the opinions and input of the society members? Not atall.

If you want to donate to the tyrannical Fascist dictatorship that is the DIT Poker Soc by all means go right up and register tomorrow.....

1. Lloyd carl tag etc etc are not even in DIT... so you don't count as real people.
2. Wednesday's suit those who are in DIT and those who run the tournaments, i.e. me anto fiddler luke, wednesday suits us in a way that thursdays dont.
2.1. Anto thinks thursdays suit him better but that is because he is an idiot and hasnt worked out how to read his timetable, wednesdays does in fact suit him better.
3. the 2 euro membership fee is a requirement by the college, not by us in order for us to be recognised by the college and our future funding is based upon the number of subscribed members.
4. the membership fees acquired during sign up days will be returned to members via freerolls / added money to prizepool / large tournaments such as the DIT POKER MARATHON.
5. Lloyd is a jammy jammy man... who gets AA against KK twice in one night, i mean really? my granny could win with the cards he gets!
5.1. Point 5 has little to do with DIT Poker Soc.
5.2. Point 5 is likely to be the club motto printed on all society t-shirts this year.
5.3. the 2 euro membership fees will also contribute to the purchase of said tshirts mentioned in point 5.2.

well i have lots of issues with this thread. First jeff thinks i cant read my timetable i can read it and am free after four on wednesday but also not in on thursday so figured running a poker tourni on thursday would give me sumin to do.
Next i would like to think that jeff is not a dictator cause he does ask my opinion then he ignores it.
Next after the first next ldog is not in college and is a working stiff and as i always say working is for poor people.
So tell ya what lets play wednesday and thrsday cause i just love poker.

I really must attend 1 of these legendry DIT tournaments now I am back in country and back to being a student after summer working in real job, bring it on!

The sister society in Bolton street is running their games on tuesday, starting this tuesday the 3rd oct.
There is always a good turn out for the first one, so hope to see a good rep for auniger street.

so with no advertisments really or anything 14 people entered the first dit 5euro game of the year. it was a site to be hold having boards reps fiddlesticks, shoutman, and ditpoker. The field could not be stronger and with four levels of rebuys the pot swelled to almost 200 euro which is roughly 3 rebuys or topups on average per player.

The final table saw dave, anto, fiddlesticks and shaking ste as well as ditpoker. After a gruelling session an unknown split it with myslef. Afterwards i was quoted as saying hey i started heads up with three big blinds got back into it and was happy with a split. not a great quote but as people remind me i aint smart.

Anyone who did not attend will have to get down to next wednesdays game for a much bigger field.

I did not have the best of days, 99vs88 in preflop and an eight came on the turn, very next hand a8 vs k7 with a k on the flop.

Shaking Ste is also on Boards....

I finished 3rd in this, I'm a bit 50-50 about my game today - some bad decisions but some good plays as well... And to get Aces two deals in a row was nice as well...

Anto's heads-up comeback was impressive - only went in ahead went he went AIPF and managed to hold up enough times to get to virtually level...

considering i started heads up with about 8k to my oppents 90k or so i was happy with my fighting spirit still made an error or two which cost me but happy to split it after all my work.
