Can anybody enlighten me as to roughly how many hours CSLL students have in first year. I don't know anybody doing the course and cannot find information on it anywhere. I've checked the tcd website but maybe I'm just blind!

Hmm, this is the third such request in as many hours. Maybe someone could make a thread? I've done my goodwill deeds for the evening. Going by Ronny Mitchell's attendance, it would appear as though CSSL has about 4 hours of lectures per week. I'm pretty sure it's actually about 25 though.

Ah, it's all hindsight. When you hear that college is this new place different than school, you just eat up any information about it prior to it starting!

On topic - I'm not really sure the answer myself, as Ibid stated a poster here (who hasn't been spotted online in quite some time) should know more. If you're really really curious, you could ring up the department tomorrow or wander in to Trinity to have a look at the noticeboard/ask the secretary for an old/new timetable.

I figure that CSLL is roughly 20-25 hours a week, iirc. possibly wrong though. My CSLL compatriots were never the best attenders.

Not unless He's changed it since first year:

And on topic-ish: Would three hours study a day be sufficient for CS? (or too much?)

ah you'll find out soon enough......... (though 3hours a day sounds like more than enough)

    3 hours study a day ?!?! wtf ?

I was looking forward to doing nothing for first year...

it all depends on how well you want to do and how much you study around the courses you do........

I'm a great supporter of doing little to nothing in CS in first year.

Technically your year is 20-22 hours a week.

Some are very much have to be attended, others....well i won't comment ;)

    and its Neil :P
