will it be through phone line or satilite?i cant get broadband through phone line, satailete is too expensive for me,and the only other option[wireless, net 1] is proving troublssoom to get.

The broadband they provide in the UK is through the phone line.

No it's not. It's cable broadband, like NTL.

It is DEFINATELY DSL, not cable. They bought easyNet and this lets them offer better BB on 28% of exchanges. The rest they resell BT Broadband.

Most but not all cable in UK is owned by the merger of Telewest and NTL UK.

The only way Sky can do it here is to buy a Wireless ISP. Only about 1/2 of people here can get DSL broadband.

If Sky does enter market here it will be Wireless/ADSL(Phone) broadband not cable or Satellite. True satellite Internet is not compatible with Sky fittings (LNB) on dish.
    Don't hold your breath either.

Some would be thankful to have the option of Net1, instead of nothing at all.

What's the chances Sky will buy Smart Telecom to offer broadband over here!? :D:D (and no, I don't expect an answer :))

No, no its not. Its ADSL2+, always has been, always will be. Making up stuff to make yourself sound smart is a bad idea.
