    Hey all,

I'm going for a promotion in work and my interview is this week, it's only a basic job but the pay rise and experience would be very nice so i want to be prepared the for interview.

Well, first of all, its for a 'National Accounts Assistant'.

    Principal Responsibilities
    · Sales support to Business Managers and the National Accounts Director
    · Preparation of weekly / monthly sales reports for a variety of accounts
    · Preparation of ad hoc sales reports
    · Preparation of sales and management presentations for key accounts

    Other Responsibilities
    · Collating audit data at store level and presentation of findings
    · Preparation of data for quarterly and annual Long Term Agreements (LTA)
    · Retail price audits, market research
    · Tracking promotional successes / failures
    · Other ad hoc projects

So basically, i have no experience in this role, however i do deal with the key accounts in my current role, just not from a sales point of view. If anyone here is in a similar role or has experience in this role, what advice could you give?

Also, i have a couple of written warnings, although one was over 6 months ago so it shouldn't be on my record anymore. How do you think these would effect my chances?

I'm also interested in possible responses to ''why do you think you should be the person to fill this position?''

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!!

    Thanks
