I have a ps2 USB controller adapter for using ps2 controllers on the PC.It works fine but the button layout for some games is all over the place. Is there any way of mapping the buttons differently??

    Thanks

Or anywhere you can download pre-configured button maps for specific games?

Most games will let you re-assign which buttons do what... I can't even think of a game that let me use the joypad but didn't allow me to customise the assignments... maybe that's just me.
Other than that, I think it'd have to be done at the driver level.
If it's really badly f*cked up, then maybe other people have experienced this problem with your brand of ps2->pc converter. (so might be worth a google)
I'm using an old rockfire converter and the only problem I had was with Metal Gear Solid 2 and the right analog Y axis (afaicr).
Is the joypad showing up in the joypad control panel?
