Just want to make sure, if anyone can advise me thanks a lot.

Planning to fly with Ryanair in November, bringing the 16 year old son along. As per the T&C, he needs a valid passport. Now his passport doesn't expire until 2007, but he was only about 12 in it, and no he's classed as an adult, I just want to be sure that will still suffice.

    Many thanks,
    Paul

If his passport is valid and he still looks like his passport picture, you should have no worries.

As long as it is valid, its fine.

I always wondered, are you obliged to look like you passport photo? I got my passport last year when I had really long hair. It was tied back so it doesn't make much difference but say it had been hanging down and I had a beard or something; what happens in 7 or 8 years time if I look totally different?

I've heard stories of people having problems if they don't look like their passports.

Certainly now that I've let my hair grow my passport gets a lot closer scrutiny than it used to.

If your appearance has changed you are advised to get a new passport.

I had the same passport from 12 years of age to 22 years - a few changes there :) but I never had any hassle.
