Mix of wood?

I often built cupboards, shelves, etc. and was just wondering where can I buy different kinds of wood like solid, ply, chip, etc. at a good reasonable price. Up to now I've purchased all my wood at B&Q but now that I'm starting on bigger projects would like to buy it for cheaper.

Rang Abbeywoods but they only sell to trade.

    Thanks.

There's a sticky over in the Woodcraft forum, IIRC that gives some pointers to wood suppliers.
